Tom, Karen (sister) & Brendan (brother) had a Rib Throw Down.
Brendan won. His ribs were juicy & fell off the bone.
Tom tried a Jamie Oliver recipe. The flavor was good, but the ribs weren't juicy.
Karen's were more of a smokey flavor, good but also not juicy.
Next year (maybe sooner) we are having a Shrimp Throw Down.
It was nice to have family over & the girls really enjoyed it.
The girls have VBS this week in the morning & at night.
Two different churches.
Am I crazy?
Will they be too tired?
Maybe...
I like it because I get more done when they aren't here :)
I have been more productive today then I have been since before school let out.
6 loads of laundry have been put away.
4 loads washed with 2 "on deck".
The playroom
The floor vacuumed, swept & mopped.
The 1/2 bath cleaned.
The kitchen floor re-mopped because the girls played Barbie pool & made a HUMONGUS water mess.
I now have 2 loads of soaking wet towels to wash :(
I'm really looking forward to VBS tonight!
Off to fold...
