This past weekend we went to see the
Butterflies Are Blooming at Meijer Gardens. There are more than 6,000 tropical butterflies flying free in the 15,000-square-foot Lena Meijer Conservatory. The exhibition boasts more than 40 different species from the Far East, Africa and Central America. It is early in the exhibition, so we will have to go back to see more!
Anyway, Sasha was completely freaked out by the fact that they could land on you. She knew this. We go every year. Not sure WHY she was so scared of them this year. I had to convince her that because she was wearing green, that they would think she was a plant, not a flower & they would not bother her!
Funny thing is that Sadie was trying HARD to get them to land on her. It happened to me last year & she really wanted it *bad*. Such opposites!

Oh, Sasha's school is having a contest about reading in an "unusual place", so we snapped a few shots here to see if one would work. We have this weekend, so we may come up with something else.
