Earlier today I was doing something on the computer & Sasha ran into the kitchen to get her scissors. I really didn't think much about it because she knows the rule: "only cut paper" & lately she she has been cutting scrap paper that she has drawn on. Well, a few minutes later she showed me the "bow" around one of her little cups. Turns out she cut the hanger strings off her fairy costume & she also cut off the strings that tie it together. I was pretty mad. Granted, neither are important, but she clearly knew that she was not supposed to cut them. She is definitely in a "do her own thing phase". Needless to say, that the scissors were taken away & she is no longer allowed to have them on her own.
Tonight I took the girls to get haircuts. They have such fine hair that I decided to go shorter. I now have "cutters remorse". The cuts are cute, but I think she went a little too short. I will have to take some pics & post them later. We then went out to eat & Sadie seemed possessed. There was another mom with her two perfectly behaved little girls eating & at first I was glad, thinking all the girls could chat. BUT...Sadie threw such a complete fit because she wanted to drink her chocolate milk out of a cup with no straw & no lid , just like Sasha; that, I wanted to pack up everything & eat in the car. Some how I managed to make it through dinner, but not without adding a few grey hairs. It was late & with the time change, she was pretty tired & she asked to go to bed shortly after getting home. On the way up to bed she said "I miss Daddy"----so cute, so I forgave her---lol! I then made the HUGE MISTAKE of letting Sasha watch the new Dora Mermaid movie (mainly because I needed to get Sadie to bed). She was a perfect angel during the whole movie & then she also became possessed the minute it ended, making getting her dressed & putting her to bed a major feat! Tired kids suck!
On to other things that have happened in the last few weeks...
- We went to the Boo Zoo on my Birthday. It rained, but we had fun!
- We went to our friend Sophie's Birthday / Halloween party & the girls had a blast. It rained that day too, but fun was had by all.
- We did Trick-or-Treating after the party. Sasha asked to go home after three houses because it was just icky, cold & rainy. I think Sadie would have kept going if we let her.
I am sure there is more, but I'm tired!
