Growing Up...
Sasha had her 5yr check up with Dr. B. on Friday. We had her measured & she was 45" (90%), I think she is a bit taller becuase she was slouching some. She also gained some weight & was 42lbs (55%). She is into trying new things (a huge step for her), so we are very happy with her weight gain :) She had to get 4 separate shots. It took two nurses & me holding her. She didn't fight us, but was terrified. Poor kid. She has never liked going to the Dr. or the Dentist. The whole visit was pretty draining for her & I . Sadie came with us & was perfect. Sadie loves going to Dr. B. She would go every week if she could, silly girl.
Super Why...
Last Tuesday Sadie came home from school & asked me "why" for every thing.
Me: Sadie it's time for lunch.
Sadie: Why...
Me: Sadie put your dolls away.
Sadie: Why...
Me: Sadie it's time to take a bath.
Sadie: Why...
I am going nutty, seriously nutty. Sasha never did the "why phase". I am actaully trying to discourage it with questions like "why do you think it' time to (fill in the blank)" or by saying "Sadie, I already said it is time to take a bath becuase it is late & you have school tomorrow". I have also told her that she can't ask why unless it is a real question. I sound mean, but if everything ends with "why", you seriously need a break! The whole phase seems to be passing. I am getting less "whys"!
(BTW...the question mark has not worked on my keyboard for months. I really need to get that fixed, it's getting hard to post here).
