Ugh!
Sadie has been in a "no pants" stage for a year. Sasha was like that for a year too. It's a girl thing, but it gets old. The other day I decided that it was cold & damp, Sadie would wear pants to camp (her school). I usually put a skirt over the pants or pants under a dress & she is fine with it. I was rushed & didn't have time, so I told her we just had pants.
As I put them on, she started to cry, she hopped into my lap & said that she "looked crazy in these clothes". She was wearing an adorable Gymboree outfit, she looked cute. We were running late, so I told her she could find a dress when we got home, but she had to wear pants to school. She threw herself on the floor & had a huge meltdown while I gathered our things. Another one as shoes were put on, as we got into the car, on the way to school. We got to school & saw friends walking in. She buried her face into my legs & said "I don't want them to see me in these clothes", lol. We walked into class & it took all her teachers telling her she looked pretty to get her out of her funk, sort of. She was still crabby when I picked her up.
The moral of the story, NO MORE "JUST PANTS"!
